How is diversity, equity and inclusion relevant for your organization? *: We are Oregon's only Latinx-serving health policy organization with a statewide reach in advancing health equity for our community. Our programs center on strategic partnerships and health policy including the preservation and protection of our critical health policy wins. In 2017, the Oregon Latino Health Coalition led the organizing and advocacy for the passage of Senate Bill 558 (Cover All Kids) making all children and teens under the age of 19 eligible for the Oregon Health Plan, regardless of immigration status. We led the fight to expand CAWEM Plus (emergency Medicaid coverage) to all counties in Oregon in 2013, ensuring all pregnant women, regardless of immigration status, have access to comprehensive prenatal care. In addition, founded the first professional association for community health workers in 2011, the Oregon Community Health Worker Association. Our work is driven by our vision to co-create a healthy thriving, diverse and inclusive environment for all Oregonians.
