This year, we're designing a logo in a day for Portland in Color, a local organization working to disrupt the homogeneity of representation in Portland arts and media by highlighting the voices and experiences of people of color. In alignment with Portland in Color’s mission to support paid work for artists and creatives of color, we’ll be offering an honorarium for our DET winners.

We welcome participants of all races, genders, religions, abilities, and orientations. Everyone that comes in a spirit of listening and collaborating is invited, no matter their identity or background.
Visible wholeheartedly supports Portland In Color’s mission to fairly compensate artists of color for creative work. As a volunteer-based organization, we also believe in promoting pro-bono work within the design industry to encourage creative professionals who benefit from privilege to contribute and directly support underrepresented communities.
We have provided an honorarium for the winning logo. If for any reason this does not hold value for our winner, after the event, they're more than welcome to donate their prize in support of Portland in Color.
